Our events calendar includes built-in maps so you can find exactly where meetups are happening.
How Maps Work
When an event includes a location, a map is automatically embedded on the event detail page using OpenStreetMap. You'll see:
- A pin showing the exact venue location
- The venue name and address
- The ability to zoom in/out and navigate the map
Getting Directions
To get turn-by-turn directions to an event:
- Click on the event to open its detail page.
- Click the map pin or venue address.
- This will open the location in your default maps app (Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc.) where you can get directions.
Privacy Note
The map uses OpenStreetMap. Before the map loads, you may be asked to consent to loading external map content. This is a privacy feature - the map won't load until you approve it.
No Location Listed?
Some events (especially virtual meetups or events at private locations) may not include a public address. In those cases, the location details are usually shared in the event description or via Discord closer to the event date.
First time at a venue? Arrive a few minutes early and look for other members. We're usually easy to spot - or just check Discord for day-of updates.
